The Xbox team typically releases one Xbox One and Xbox Series X software update per month | S. But September was an exception, today the second update came out. At the beginning of the month, a major update was already released with a large number of new features, which we talked about in detail here. And today a software update for Xbox consoles was released with several more new features.
Backup screenshots and clips. Starting today, players can set up their saved content to be backed up to OneDrive. This feature was previously tested by insiders for several weeks; its operation can be seen here.
New policy for storing screenshots and clips. Screenshots and game clips stored on the Xbox network will be deleted after 90 days. To back up any clips or screenshots that a player wants to keep indefinitely, you need to follow the steps listed in this article on the Xbox Support site.
New channel – “Events”. It will be easier for players to learn about game events and updates to their favorite games. We added a new “Events” channel to the main page of Xbox consoles.
Quickly install applications when setting up a new console. Xbox will now immediately offer popular apps in your region that you can install right away when you set up your console, such as Apple Music, AppleTV, Crunchyroll, Disney+, Hulu, Movies & TV, Peacock, Spotify and others.
