Do you want more proof to see that Microsoft and Ubisoft are getting along better and better? If so, you will be served! One of Ubisoft’s great successes welcomes into its fold the legendary figure of the Xbox brand.
Ubisoft and Microsoft, the best allies in video games?
For some time now, Microsoft has seemed to be joining forces with Ubisoft; remember, the marketing campaigns for Watch Dogs Legion and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla greatly highlighted the Xbox Series X|S. Today, the latest developments linked to the acquisition of Activision-Blizzard by Microsoft only confirm our words. To prove to the CMA (Competition and Markets Authority) its desire not to harm competition, Microsoft has in fact delegated the entire cloud gaming part to Ubisoft. In other words, Ubisoft is offering the Activision-Blizzard King games already released and to come on Ubisoft+.
If all this wasn’t enough, the two giants are creating a new collaboration. The latter fits directly into one of the biggest hits in the Ubisoft catalog, we have named Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege.
A distinguished guest in Rainbow Six Siege!
As you can see by looking at the image above or the trailer available at the top of the article, Master Chief, the star of the Halo games (and at the same time the Xbox brand) joins the game Rainbow Six Siege.
Rainbow Six Siege presents a crossover with Halo by offering an Elite set for Sledge who collects the Master Chief’s armor. The set includes the Spartan-117 helmet and uniform inspired by the Master Chief’s armor in Halo Infinite, as well as a gadget skin that reimagines Sledge’s breach hammer as a grav hammer. There are weapon skins for Sledge’s primary (M590A1 Shotgun and L825A2 Assault Rifle) and secondary (P226 MK25 Pistol) weapons, as well as Operator Cards, a Celebration, and a Sledge Charm by Cortana. The Elite Set can be purchased with R6 Credits and is available now in the in-game store.
By going to the game store, it is possible, right now, to pick up a brand new skin for Sledge. The latter obviously takes the form of the Master Chief from Halo Infinite. The good news is that this brand new skin is available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S as well as on PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
