September 28th, 2023 at 6:30 a.m. by Sven Bauduin – Sony has now announced the Complete Edition of its action role-playing game Horizon Forbidden West, previously exclusive to the Playstation 4 and 5, which will be available on October 6th for the Playstation 5 and in early 2024 via Steam and The Epic Games Store will also appear for the PC for the first time. The Complete Edition combines the main game, DLC and extras.
Sony has now announced the Complete Edition of its action role-playing game Horizon Forbidden West, previously exclusive to the Playstation 4 and Playstation 5, which will be released for the first time on October 6th for the Playstation 5 and for the PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store in early 2024 . The bundle combines the main game, the story expansion Burning Shores as DLC and various additional digital content, such as additional weapons, outfits, poses and paint jobs.

The Complete Edition of Horizon Forbidden West includes all previously released content of the game as well as numerous digital extras. The basis is the main game developed by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony on February 18, 2022, as well as the story expansion “Burning Shores” as DLC.

There are also various new digital extras, which will be available for the first time in the Complete Edition and were not previously part of the action role-playing game.

The overall package, which will appear on October 6th for the Playstation 5 and for the first time in early 2024 for the PC, is rounded off by additional game items for the open world and the integrated photo mode.

As usual, Sony is asking 69.99 euros for the full-price title in the official Playstation Store, while no prices are yet mentioned on the game’s product pages on Steam and in the Epic Games Store.
High quality porting is expected
Nixxes Software is once again responsible for porting Horizon Forbidden West to the PC. The Dutch game developer from Utrecht was already responsible for successful ports such as Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Horizon Zero Dawn and stands for high-quality ports. The latest technologies, such as Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR, can also be expected.
Linux support should be assured
Like its predecessor Horizon Zero Dawn, Horizon Forbidden West should run on Linux without any compromises. The first part of the series is also certified “Gold” on ProtonDB and has the “Steam Deck Verified” seal of approval from Valve.
