Changes to the balance and a nerf for the numerous boss opponents make the celebrated Bloodborne alternative a little fairer.
Neowiz Games and Round8 Studio have defused their Soulslike action role-playing game Lies of P with the update to version 1.2 after initial criticism of the game’s difficulty and made it a little easier. Changes to the balance and a nerf for the numerous (boss) opponents now make the celebrated alternative to the genre greats Elden Ring and Bloodborne a little fairer. The two game developers responded to player feedback.
Difficulty levels caused criticism
The Souls alternative Lies of P, which was released on September 19th for the PC, macOS, the Playstation 4 and Playstation 5 as well as the Xbox One and Xbox Series and can boast numerous high ratings. But the game’s sometimes unfair level of difficulty in particular caused criticism after its release. This is where Neowiz Games and Round8 Studio come in with update 1.2.0.0.
Better balance and bosses with less HP
As the official release notes for version 1.2.0.0 reveal, the balance of the game world in particular has been adjusted, which specifically affects the difficulty levels of all opponents. In addition, the bosses have had their health points adjusted. This “HP nerf” is now intended to make Soulslike a little fairer.

Increased the Specter’s HP and damage
The protagonist’s life points and attack power have also been increased, which should also contribute to a better gaming experience and less frustration. The optimizations and error corrections that are mandatory with every new release are also included in Lies of P with the update to version 1.2.0.0.
Nerf doesn’t appeal to all players
It was foreseeable that the nerf of the boss opponents would not hit the nerve of all players. Soulslike veterans and hardcore gamers in particular want a higher level of difficulty and are less enthusiastic about update 1.2.0.0.
