Bethesda unexpectedly released a new mobile game The Elder Scrolls: Castles, which immediately reminded many of Fallout Shelter. Apparently, this is a shareware simulator, distributed in early access on Android in some regions.
In The Elder Scrolls: Castles, players are invited to manage their castle, gradually expanding and customizing the space around it, and solve the problems of the subjects of their kingdom.
Some media outlets have speculated that Bethedsa may have released the game prematurely, and that the project itself may have been mentioned in leaked documents in the FTC v. Microsoft. The latter contained three unannounced mobile games from Bethesda Softworks under the code names Project Now, Project Wanderer and Project Whirlwind.
