Blizzard chief Mike Ibarra previously worked at Xbox for many years. He left his role as corporate vice president of Xbox in 2019, when Game Pass was just taking off. Blizzard doesn’t add its games to Game Pass, but it looks like company boss Mike Ybarra is a heavy user of the subscription.
On Twitter, Mike Ibarra spoke about the “best feature” of the Game Pass subscription against the backdrop of the release of the highly acclaimed game Cocoon:
For me, one of the best things about Game Pass is when you see a game you’ve never heard of get amazing reviews (Cocoon in this example). And you go to buy it, but then you notice that it is already in your library. Indeed, this approach reflects the concept of “find your next favorite game.”
And it’s always a big bonus when the game is included in the subscription and on PC (my favorite platform for most games) – for example, Cocoon. I can’t wait to play this weekend.
