Remedy Entertainment recently announced that Alan Wake 2 will offer a Performance mode on PS5 and Xbox Series current gen.
PS5 and Xbox Series X players will therefore be free to choose the mode they prefer, but the same goes for Xbox Series S users? Unfortunately, Remedy officially confirmed to Game Informer that Alan Wake 2 will not have any alternate modes on Microsoft’s entry level current gen console.
Remedy hasn’t offered many details about Alan Wake 2’s Performance mode, and it’s currently unclear whether it will deliver the 60fps stable during gameplay or whether it will simply unlock the framerate. Sam Lake’s company, in any case, has repeatedly reiterated how Alan Wake 2 will focus less on fighting compared to its predecessor, and will give more space to the exploratory and investigative aspect for what will be the first survival horror actual never made by the studio.
While waiting for the title to make its debut on October 27th on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, we refer you to our Preview of Alan Wake 2.
