Fourth part “The Expendables”which performed poorly at the box office, will be released digitally on October 13 – three weeks after the film appears in cinemas.
In the US, the film grossed just over $20 million against a production budget of $100 million—in other words, it could be considered a failure. At the same time, the film received poor ratings from critics and some viewers, although its user rating was Rotten Tomatoes turned out to be equal to 70% (13% from critics).
The plot of the film was about a new mission of mercenaries who must once again save the world. But in this case, they lose their commander Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), so his assistant Lee (Jason Statham) and several newcomers need to deal with the problems.
Some of the actors from previous parts returned in the film, and among the new faces were Tony Jaa, 50 Cent and Megan Fox. The film itself, by the way, is also being released in Russia, where it has already collected more than 141 million rubles.
