Recently, the video on demand platform announced that it will have a promotional price during Black Friday 2023: new subscribers will pay a monthly fee of R$ 9,90 for the first two months.
According to an official statement from HBO Max itself, the special promotion for Black Friday this year features a 70% discount for new customers and inactive users who used to be subscribers to the streaming platform. The offer went live on the 17th and runs until the 27th of this month. The differentiated price can be purchased through the official HBO Max website and participating providers (Amazon Prime Video Channels, for example).
HBO Max’s Black Friday promotional plan consists of the traditional multi-screen monthly plan offered by the company and is only being offered to users located in Brazil. According to the service’s official website, the offer can be redeemed once and cannot be combined with another HBO Max promotional or free trial offer.

“To subscribe to HBO Max, you must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid payment method. After the discounted subscription period, your subscription will automatically renew each month at the current multi-screen monthly plan subscription price (currently R$ 34.90/month, plus applicable taxes), on a recurring basis, unless you cancel before renewal”, the streaming platform’s portal also says.
Another point of attention to highlight is that, to cancel your subscription, you must consult the subscription settings in your HBO Max account. If you change plans during the promotional period, the user in question will lose the benefit of the promotional offer . If you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access to HBO Max for the period already paid for.
Limited time promotion
Therefore, it is important to highlight: after the promotional period (2 months for R$ 9.90), the full amount of R$ 34.90 per month will be charged. This promotion is not available to already active HBO Max subscribers, only new users.
Remembering that HBO Max is home to all original productions from HBO channels, cinematographic works from Warner Bros., animations from Cartoon Network and Adult Swim, in addition to offering live sports broadcasts, including the European Champions League and Paulista Football Championship.
