Publisher and developer MY.GAMES announced today that HAWKED is entering early access following a successful PC and cross-play open beta. On November 30th, HAWKED will be playable on PC via the MY.GAMES Launcher and Steam, a Console version is planned for early 2024.
Players looking to get in on the extraction fun can sign up now for the ‘Renegade Rally’, which rewards players with increasing rewards as more people sign up.
Early Access marks another phase in the release of the ambitious third-person extraction shooter, which is on the way to full release.
Andy Duthie, Executive Producer of HAWKED, explains the decision for Early Access as follows: “With HAWKED we want to have an open and interactive development process that focuses on community feedback. After the positive response and excellent results of our Open Beta, we believe that Early Access is an important step on our path to release. We want to continue working towards making HAWKED the most fun and accessible extraction shooter on the market as we move toward full release, and we’re especially pleased to have so many players be part of this journey.”
As a further incentive to join Early Access, MY.GAMES has launched the ‘Renegade Rally’ campaign. Players who log in during the rally will receive rewards and have a chance to win special prizes, including a lifetime supply of premium currency.
The more people sign up, the better the rewards and prizes will be for the entire group. The players may be renegades, but sticking together certainly has its advantages. More information about the Renegade Rally can be found on the website, but everyone who joins the Renegade Rally will receive a free 7-day GRAIL+ Premium account status in addition to the other rewards unlocked during the campaign.
HAWKED is an extraction shooter in which teams of up to three players or single players compete to collect and recover artifacts on a remote island called X-Isle. Players (also called Renegades) compete against each other to secure and recover artifacts, which can only be achieved by fighting monsters, other players, solving puzzles, and avoiding traps.
The first team that manages to retrieve artifacts from the island wins the session. To ensure that each session is worthwhile, players can also recover smaller treasures and leave the island (dead or alive) with useful currency to spend on improving their character.
Further news about the full launch of HAWKED will be announced in the near future.
