According to Deadline, Lex Luthor’s role in the upcoming film “Superman: Legacy” James Gunn went to Nicholas Hoult (“Menu,” “Renfield”). This was confirmed by several sources of the publication, while The Hollywood Reporter portal claims that negotiations are still underway. Warner Bros. did not comment on the statement.
It is noteworthy that back in the spring the media reported that Holt was on the list of the main candidates for Clark Kent’s party.
The release of Superman: Legacy is expected on July 11, 2025. David Corenswet (“Pearl”) and Rachel Brosnahan (“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”) will play the leading roles as Clark Kent and Lois Lane, respectively.
Nathan Fillion (“Firefly”) and Maria Gabriela de Faria will also appear in the film—the latter will play the villainous Engineer.
