Sifu is a highly stylized revenge story told through elaborate kung fu beat ’em up action. Players take on the role of a young Pak Mei Kung Fu student who travels to a fictional Chinese city to avenge his fallen master. The only things players have to protect themselves with are their kung fu abilities, honed through years of training, and a magical pendant that prevents death but causes rapid aging.
To date, Sifu has sold over 2 million copies worldwide, receiving global critical praise and several award nominations. This is the second game by French development studio Sloclap, which is currently developing a third game.
