Without warning (and for a short time), Nintendo games appeared in the catalog of the cloud service VK Play Cloud: the adventure action game The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and the life simulator Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Let us remind you that VK Play Cloud launches PC games on its own remote servers and then broadcasts the gameplay to the end user via the Internet, which allows you to play even demanding blockbusters on weak machines.
In the case of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the situation is more complicated, since these projects were not released outside the hybrid console Nintendo Switch, but VK Play Cloud found a way out.
As it turned out, both projects are launched in VK Play Cloud via the Yuzu emulator (1734). In the case of Zelda, the game was patched with 60 fps support, graphics fixes, and improved optimization.
As for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, VK Play Cloud technical support assured that when launching the game through the service, the user has access to “all functions, including network ones.”
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Animal Crossing: New Horizons were available to subscribers of the Comfort (1999 rubles per month) and Premium (3599 rubles) tariffs, but soon after the game was discovered from the service disappeared.
It is worth noting that in March, Nintendo succeeded in stopping the development of the Yuzu emulator, and its creators agreed to pay the platform holder $2.4 million. The company also actively prevents the distribution of Yuzu analogues.
