Developers from Larian Studios are already moving on, but the industry still can’t let go of Baldur’s Gate 3. The famous fantasy RPG was recently awarded another award in the Game of the Year category.
At the ceremony held as part of the Develop:Brighton conference Develop:Star Awards 2024 honored games from the last 12 months, with releases from the second half of 2023 competing for trophies alongside projects from the first half of 2024.
The developers from Larian Studios with Baldur’s Gate 3 and Remedy Entertainment with the horror Alan Wake 2 took home the most awards at the awards – three each, but there can only be one winner.
The big winner of the Develop:Star Awards 2024 was Baldur’s Gate 3. The RPG received the Game of the Year and Best Narrative awards, and Larian itself received the title of Best Studio.
As for Remedy, Alan Wake 2 was unrivaled in the Best Visuals and Best Sound categories, and the studio’s creative director Sam Lake won Best Creative Director.
