Adata Technology has prepared for release a line of Legend 970 PRO solid-state drives with PCI Express 5.0 x4 interface. It is represented by M.2 2280 format devices with a capacity of 1, 2 and 4 TB. A notable feature of the new products is the active cooling system, consisting of an aluminum radiator and a small fan.
Another interesting feature of NVMe drives is the platform. Many similar SSDs use Phison’s developments, but Adata used the InnoGrit IG5666 controller with an external DRAM buffer and 232-layer 3D NAND memory chips (presumably TLC) in the Legend 970 PRO. This combination provides read speeds of up to 14 GB/s, write speeds of up to 11 GB/s, and a maximum performance of 1800 thousand/1300 thousand IOPS (read/write). The TBW (Total Bytes Written) indicator is 740 TB to 2960 TB depending on the model.
Recommended prices for the Adata Legend 970 PRO NVMe drives will be announced later. The devices are backed by a five-year manufacturer’s warranty.
