The High-Precision Systems holding of the Rostec State Corporation has handed over the first batch of TM-140 tracked all-terrain vehicles to the Russian Emergencies Ministry. The equipment, manufactured at the Kurganmashzavod, will be sent to Chukotka, where it will be used in the difficult climatic conditions of the Far North.
The choice in favor of the TM-140 is not accidental: this model of all-terrain vehicle is specially designed for effective operation in off-road conditions, which is critically important for prompt response to emergency situations in remote regions.
The TM-140 is capable of overcoming steep climbs and descents (up to 30 degrees), as well as water obstacles at a speed of up to 4 km/h. High cross-country ability combined with the possibility of modular assembly make the TM-140 a universal tool for working in hard-to-reach areas. The machine has a lifting capacity of up to four tons and a cruising range of 550 km.
An important feature of the TM-140 is its modular design. Various modules and equipment can be installed on the universal cargo platform of the all-terrain vehicle: a residential unit, a repair shop or a crane-manipulator. This allows the TM-140 to be adapted to solve a wide range of tasks.
The experience of operating the TM-140 confirms its high demand in various industries. All-terrain vehicles are already used by oil and gas companies, geological enterprises, and organizations that provide life support in remote villages of the Far North. In the spring, vehicles of this type were used to help flood victims in the Trans-Urals.
TM-140s delivered food and water to isolated settlements in the Kurgan region, and were also ready to evacuate people if the situation worsened.
