Microsoft will add Links to Nvidia’s GeForce Now cloud gaming service on Xbox catalog pages – the integration will give gamers the ability to choose between Xbox Cloud Gaming and GeForce Now when browsing a list of games in the web interface.
Until now, the cloud gaming block in the catalog only had a link to Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud Gaming service, but Nvidia GeForce Now will join it soon. The catalog has not yet been updated, and it is unclear where the link to the alternative cloud platform will lead: to its main page or to the page of the corresponding game.
Nvidia’s GeForce Now RTX 4080 plan is perhaps the most impressive offering in the cloud gaming market today – Nvidia even claims that its service offers lower latency than a locally running physical Xbox Series X connected to a 60Hz TV.
Previously, Microsoft and Nvidia signed a 10-year agreement allowing the graphics card maker to license games from the Xbox PC catalog for the GeForce Now platform, including titles from Activision Blizzard. This year, Nvidia also released an update to GeForce Now that allows users to sync their Xbox accounts and Microsoft Store purchases with the cloud gaming service. GeForce Now can also run titles from the PC Game Pass subscription catalog.
