The now eight-year-old space game “No Man’s Sky” is currently experiencing an almost unbelievable comeback with insane numbers.
In 2016, the developer studio Hello Games released the space game “No Man’s Sky” to much acclaim. Despite its age, the team is by no means sitting idly by, but continues to work on improving the experience for fans. This is now leading to a real explosion.
What exactly is happening in No Man’s Sky?
Hello Games recently released the extensive update called “Worlds Part 1” for the space game “No Man’s Sky”. With this update, the developers not only fundamentally improved the graphics, but also reworked the locations, added new creatures and much more. The update has had its effect: the game not only looks much better now, it also continues to captivate people.
As already a look at the current statistics on Steam shows, the latest update caused a significant increase in the number of players. Over the past few months, there were an average of between 10,000 and 20,000 users in the PC version of “No Man’s Sky”, but shortly after the release of the update, there were almost 50,000.
The current euphoria surrounding Hello Games’ space game becomes even clearer when looking at the PlayStation figures. According to a report from our colleagues at TrueTrophies.com The number of active players in the PS5 version of “No Man’s Sky” increased by 493 percent in the week following the release of the update.
Not only is this a remarkable achievement in itself, it also means a jump from 194th to 40th place among PS5 games with the most active users.
