Yesterday, the release of the unusual detective game Nobody Wants to Die from Critical Hit Games took place. Previously, it attracted some attention thanks to its stylish atmospheric trailers and its noir style in the world of the future. The first announcement trailer on the IGN channel quickly collected more than two million views. But this did not help sales much. According to SteamDB statistics, the peak online in Steam barely approached a thousand people on the first day. It’s hardly a good start, but the game has a chance to catch up thanks to good reviews and recommendations.
Computer players have welcomed the project well, with the game’s average rating now being over 80%. Nobody Wants to Die is a plot-driven detective game with dialogues and crime scene investigation. The hero also uses various gadgets and futuristic devices to reconstruct the crime scene. Some players note the game’s similarity to Observer, Soma, and Firewatch. There is variability and several endings. Everyone praises the style, graphics, and design, but notes poor optimization. The latter is not surprising, since the game uses the Unreal Engine 5.
Some users did not like the game. They call it boring and monotonous. Nobody Wants to Die is obviously not for those who like action and dynamic games. In addition to PC, the game is also available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
