The developers of the first-person shooter STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl have once again postponed the game’s release date. It is reported that the project will be released not on September 5, 2024, but only on November 20, 2024, that is, more than two months later. The new product will be available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG) and Xbox Series X|S, and will also be included in the Game Pass subscription.
It seems that the GSC Game World team itself understands that they have been postponing the game too often, so they decided to play out a funny scene in the trailer dedicated to the release date. In the video, Colonel Korshunov informs the stalkers that the zone will be closed until November 20, to which the hero asks with bewilderment: “Seriously, again?”
As the developers explained, they understand that players are tired of waiting, but assured that the extra time will give them the opportunity to fix more “unexpected anomalies” (i.e. bugs). They also announced that on August 12, 2024, they will publish a detailed video, which will include exclusive interviews, many new gameplay shots and a full video walkthrough of one of the quests.
