The New World: Aeternum Confidential Console Closed Beta begins today. To prepare for the adventure, here are some details about what you can expect as a participant.
Players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S can take control of their destiny from July 25 at 6 p.m. to July 31 at 6 p.m.
This invite-only cross-play test will allow console players in North America and Europe to customize a character, experiment with unique weapons, and explore vast, supernatural areas. Players will also have the opportunity to try out endgame content.
The closed beta is divided into two phases:
New Game Experience (Phase 1): July 25, 6 p.m. Get a feel for New World: Aeternum on console: What can players expect at launch? There will also be some minor quality of life adjustments to account for the short testing window: Amazon will disable the default 72-hour chat cooldown when a new character is created. Endgame Experience (Phase 2): July 28, 4 p.m. Create a new character and choose one of the level 65 presets to gain endgame gear, powerful weapons, max-level attribute points, and full weapon masteries. Participation in Phase 2 is optional. You can either use a level 65 preset to create a new character, or continue leveling up your original character from Phase 1.
During the Confidential Console Closed Beta, there will be limited-time events that allow players to test certain features on the NA server, including Influence Races, Outpost Rush, and Free For All Lawless PvP Zone.
