It will be interesting to find out what the peak temperatures are there.
ASRock has expanded its AMD RDNA 3 GPU lineup with the Radeon RX 7900 XTX Passive 24GB and Radeon RX 7900 XT Passive 20GB. Both new products feature a fully passive cooling system with a vapor chamber and finned heatsink for efficient heat dissipation.
ASRock Radeon RX 7900 XT/XTX Passive graphics cards are designed for multi-processor systems that require high computing power. With a dual-slot design and compact dimensions (261 mm in length), they are ideal for assembling system units with limited internal space. The absence of fans ensures silent operation while maintaining the performance of reference models.
It is worth noting that both models, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX and Radeon RX 7900 XT, have identical designs and dimensions. They are based on the Navi 31 GPU, but differ in specifications such as video memory configuration, clock speeds, TDP level, number of stream processors, etc. According to available information, these models will probably be available only to OEMs and will not go on sale at retail.
The radiator of the new products has a V-shaped cutout on the end for improved cooling and covers key components (GPU, VRM and video memory section) for passive heat dissipation. For power supply, a single 12V-2×6 connector is used, located on the right edge of the printed circuit board, which simplifies cable connections and makes the system neater. Additional strength of the video cards is provided by a metal back panel.
Among the latest innovations from ASRock, it is also worth noting two new gaming monitors with an IPS matrix and a refresh rate of 180 Hz, as well as the first thin Mini-ITX motherboard with support for Ryzen 9000 65W processors.
