There are still no specific deadlines.
The sequel to Constantine: Lord of Darkness is still in the works, tells producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura at the San Diego Comic-Con festival. At the same time, the project does not yet have a script.
According to the producer, screenwriter Akiva Goldsman continues to work on the story and is gradually approaching the end. The producer did not name a specific time frame for the release of the script.

The script is being written right now, there’s not much time left. I mean, we need a great script, but we’re off to a good start: the movie star that everyone wants to work with wants to play this character again.
Work on the script for the sequel to Constantine has been ongoing, intermittently, for several years. In 2023, the process was slowed down by the Writers Guild of America strike, and a little earlier, the film’s status was in question due to a change in Warner Bros. management and the company’s merger with Discovery.
Constantine 2 has no release date and is expected to be directed by Francis Lawrence, the creator of the first film. Keanu Reeves will once again play the lead role.
