Micron Technology has released the P310 series of solid-state drives under the Crucial brand. It includes M.2 2230 format devices with a capacity of 1 and 2 TB. The new products are equipped with a PCI Express 4.0 x4 interface and are designed for use in laptops and portable gaming systems, such as the ASUS ROG Ally and Steam Deck.
The NVMe drives are based on a Phison E27T controller without an external DRAM buffer and 232-layer 3D NAND QLC memory chips. The new products are declared to have a sequential read speed of up to 7100 MB/s and a write speed of up to 6000 MB/s, as well as a maximum performance of 1 million/1.2 million IOPS (read/write). The TBW (Total Bytes Written) indicator is 220 or 440 TB depending on the model, the SSDs are accompanied by a five-year manufacturer’s warranty.
As for the price of the drives, in foreign stores the terabyte version of the Crucial P310 can be purchased for $115, and the 2 TB version will cost $215.
