Nvidia Corporation has confirmed plans to release the GeForce RTX 3050 A Laptop graphics adapter and revealed its main characteristics. This is the third version of the mobile GeForce RTX 3050. However, if its predecessors were based on the Ampere architecture, the new product will use the AD106 graphics chip of the Ada Lovelace generation. This GPU, for example, can be found in the desktop GeForce RTX 4060 Ti.
The GeForce RTX 3050 A Laptop uses a significantly cut-down version of the AD106 crystal. Physically, this GPU contains 4608 CUDA cores and a 128-bit memory bus. The new video adapter used a configuration with 1792 CUDA cores and a 64-bit memory interface, i.e. the GPU was cut by more than half. The new product is equipped with four gigabytes of GDDR6 memory, uses the PCIe 4.0 x8 interface and is characterized by a 45-watt TGP level.
There is currently no information available regarding which laptops will be among the first to receive the GeForce RTX 3050 A Laptop graphics adapter.
