The cooperative action game Remnant II has turned one year old. This project by Gunfire Games was released on July 25, 2023 and quickly became popular. The sequel to a not very well-known game sold more than a million copies in the first four days, and the game was also able to reach a peak online of 110 thousand simultaneous players on Steam. Over the course of the year, Remnant II received two major add-ons that expanded and complemented the main adventure. In honor of the anniversary, the developers remembered the promised third DLC called The Dark Horizon.
The developers had previously planned to introduce The Dark Horizon during the first game year, but eventually delayed it a bit. While working on the DLC, it became clear that it would be the largest and most ambitious one yet. It would not only add new locations and new enemies, but also a new game mode and a new progression system. The Dark Horizon will be the last major DLC for the game, after which there will be no major content updates.
In an official statement, the developers thanked players for their support and promised more details about The Dark Horizon in the near future. The add-on itself will go on sale in September.
