In addition to the Galaxy Watch7, Samsung also unveiled its flagship Galaxy Watch Ultra smartwatch today. The manufacturer calls the new product the most powerful in the line, as it has incorporated all the achievements and wide functionality of this series of devices. The Galaxy Watch Ultra will be released in only one titanium case size, 47 mm, and will be available in gray, white and black versions.
The watch received a 1.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 × 480 pixels and a brightness of 3000 cd / m2, protected by sapphire glass. The device is based on the latest 5-core Exynos W1000 processor, manufactured using a 3-nm process technology. Like the Galaxy Watch7, the new Galaxy Watch Ultra smartwatch received 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra has a 590 mAh battery. The new product supports WPC wireless charging. The developer notes that the Galaxy Watch Ultra boasts the longest battery life in the entire Galaxy Watch line: up to 100 hours in power saving mode and 48 hours in power saving mode during workouts.
The device is IP68 and MIL-STD-810H certified, and is waterproof up to 10 ATM. It can be used for swimming in salt water. It can also withstand temperatures from -20 to +55 °C and operates in a wider range of altitudes: from 500 meters below sea level to 9,000 meters above sea level.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra features the same set of Samsung BioActive sensors (optical biosignal sensor, electrical heart rate sensor, and bioelectrical impedance analysis) as the Galaxy Watch7 models. The Ultra model also has a temperature sensor, accelerometer, barometer, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, and light sensor. There is support for LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 2.4 + 5 GHz, NFC, GPS (L1 + L5) / Glonass / Beidou / Galileo.
Samsung notes that the Galaxy Watch Ultra comes with a quick action button that allows you to instantly launch a desired function, start a workout, check current settings, and customize other functions according to personal preferences.
The watch also has a fall detection feature that automatically recognizes when the user has fallen and calls for help. In addition, the Galaxy Watch Ultra offers a customizable personal heart rate zone feature that allows you to exercise at the optimal intensity level based on your physical ability.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra smartwatch costs €699 or $650.
