The 40mm Galaxy Watch7 smartwatch has a 1.3-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 432 × 432 pixels. The Galaxy Watch7 is powered by the latest 5-core Exynos W1000 processor, manufactured using a 3-nm process technology. Samsung claims that it is three times faster than its predecessor and 30% more energy efficient. Both versions of the watch have 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The manufacturer also notes that the Galaxy Watch7 is the first model in the Galaxy Watch series with a dual-frequency GPS module, which can more accurately track your location even in dense urban areas.
The more compact version of the smartwatch is equipped with a 300 mAh battery. The larger version has a 425 mAh battery. Both are claimed to support WPC wireless charging. The watch runs on Wear OS 5 with the One UI 6 Watch shell.
The Galaxy Watch7 features an updated set of Samsung BioActive sensors (an optical biosignal sensor, an electrical heart rate sensor, and a bioelectrical impedance analysis sensor), a temperature sensor, an accelerometer, a barometer, a gyroscope, a geomagnetic sensor, and a light sensor. The device also supports LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 2.4+5 GHz, NFC, GPS (L1+L5)/Glonass/Beidou/Galileo. The manufacturer claims 5 ATM water resistance and compliance with IP68 and MIL-STD-810H protection standards.
The Galaxy Watch7 smartwatch offers support for over 100 sports modes. In addition to the advanced AI algorithm for sleep analysis, the Galaxy Watch7 also supports sleep apnea monitoring, offering a preventive tool to detect potential signs of cessation of breathing movements. In real time, the device can take readings and issue alerts for abnormally high or low heart rates with the heart rate monitoring feature, identify irregular heart rhythms that indicate possible atrial fibrillation with irregular heart rhythm notifications, and provide deeper insight into the health of the heart with electrocardiogram and blood pressure monitoring. In addition, the watch comes with a body composition analysis feature that gives a complete picture of the percentage of tissue in the body.
The Galaxy Watch7 (40mm) is priced at €319/$300 and comes in white gold and green, while the Galaxy Watch7 (44mm) is priced at €349/$330 and comes in green and silver. There are also a variety of straps available for the new models.
