Four years after its original release on PC, free-to-play Valorant has finally made its way to consoles with an open beta available to everyone on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. As it turns out, Microsoft Game Pass subscribers have another reason to celebrate.
At the same time as the Open Beta phase began, Valorant also made its official debut on Xbox Game Pass, allowing subscribers on Xbox Series X|S to play with all of its agents without having to unlock them and at no additional cost. This is exactly what had already happened with the PC version of Valorant, which joined PC Game Pass with the same modalities at the end of 2022. This is all part of the agreement signed between Microsoft and Riot Games two years ago and which also concerns the other video games of the Los Angeles developer, including League of Legends (all champions unlocked), League of Legends Wild Rift (all champions unlocked), Legends of Runeterra (Foundation Set unlocked) and Teamfight Tactics (little Legends unlocked).
Valorant is just the latest addition to Xbox Game Pass this month, which after welcoming games like Tchia, Neon White, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, and Dungeons of Hinterberg also welcomes the surprise arrival of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. If you’re still hungry, find out what’s already planned for Xbox Game Pass in August 2024.
