Vivo has expanded its range of Neo9 series smartphones by introducing a new model, the Neo9S Pro+. Unlike the previously released Neo9S Pro with the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chip, the new model offers an alternative flagship processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Like its predecessor, the new product has 12 or 16 GB of RAM, and the smartphone’s storage capacity can be 256 or 512 GB, or 1 TB. Neo9S Pro+ stands out for its more capacious 5500 mAh battery – the Pro version uses a 5160 mAh battery. Like the previous model, the new product is declared to support a 120 W charger.
The Neo9S Pro+ model also received a larger main camera sensor – a 50-megapixel IMX921 sensor measuring 1 / 1.56 “with support for optical stabilization. The regular Pro version uses a 50-megapixel sensor measuring 1 / 1.49”. The second 50-megapixel sensor of the main camera is the same as the Neo9S Pro. The main camera can shoot in resolution up to 8K. On the front side of the Neo9S Pro+ there is a 16-megapixel camera with the ability to record video in 1080p at 30 frames per second.
Otherwise, the Neo9S Pro+ specifications are identical to the Neo9S Pro model. The smartphone has a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 2800 × 1260 pixels, a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a peak brightness of 1400 cd / m2. The new product runs on the Android 14 operating system with the OriginOS 4 shell.
The iQOO Neo9S Pro+ will be available in Buff Blue, Star White and Fighting Black colors. In the configuration with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, the smartphone is priced at 2999 yuan ($412), while the maximum version with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage will cost 4099 yuan ($564). Open sales of the device in China will begin on July 16.
