Stephen King is one of the great masters of horror. He has inspired several filmmakers with works such as The Shining and Pet Sematary. And one of his most famous creations, the horror clown Pennywise, has now become a permanent fixture in many a nightmare.
Since the first film adaptation of his novel IT in the 1990s, the fear of murderous clowns has made it into many a horror film. One of the most brutal of these is getting a sequel this year. And the first trailer for Terrifier 3 is not only terrifying us…
Is Terrifier really that brutal?
The film series about Art the Clown has come a long way since the first part: While Terrifier from 2016 clearly showed amateur craftsmanship, the kills of the murderous clown were not for the faint of heart even then. The second part became more brutal – and forbidden!
Terrifier 2 was only released in German home cinemas in an edited version. Three minutes of the horror show had to be removed for the German release. The expectations for the third part are therefore set: bigger, more brutal and perhaps even more forbidden! But can the first trailer for Terrifier 3 convince?

This is how brutal the first trailer with Art the Clown is
The setting for the third part of the horror series was revealed to us at the end of last year: This time, Art the Clown is slashing away during the contemplative season, namely at Christmas. He has also dressed up in a Santa Claus costume to match. But the festival of love should not disguise the brutal kills that are also part of the game in Terrifier 3. When is Terrifier 3 coming out?
Although Terrifier 3 is set at Christmas time, the film is scheduled to be released in theaters on Halloween. It is set to be released on October 31, 2024, and we will be able to watch Art the Clown at his worst again. It remains to be seen whether the horror clown will only be released in Germany in an edited version this time.
