As for the payback, it happened during the debut weekend: The Hollywood Reporter portal published the results of the worldwide box office — 438 million dollars. With a budget of 200 million, the film is already making a profit for its creators.
The film also set a record for the highest R-rated debut ever. It remains to be seen how quickly The Dead Pool will make a billion.
