The problem with the Switch version of Mortal Kombat 1
In Mortal Kombat 1 (buy now 39,99 € / 62,99 € ) is clearly a next-gen title. Therefore, the beat ’em up was released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Surprisingly, the 7-year-old Nintendo Switch console was also included in these relatively new consoles.
Nintendo’s hardware is known for its lower performance compared to the competition. In order for the game to even run on the family-friendly handheld hybrid, players had to accept massive losses in graphics.
The reduction of details in the characters’ faces caused some bizarre moments. Despite the flop on the Switch, Mortal Kombat 1 a mega success. Khaos Reigns is another DLC with lots of new content that will be released soon.

What does Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns bring?
The paid DLC expands the story of the beat ’em up and brings six new characters into the game. In addition, a free update is being released that adds so-called “Animalities”. But what are they anyway?
“Animalities” are based on the already well-known “Fatalities”. These are a trademark of the Mortal Kombat series and refer to a finishing move that usually eliminates the opponent in a particularly brutal manner.
With the introduction of the new “Animalities”, this task will be taken over by various animals. A first video shows how a gorilla tears a fighter in two or how an oversized praying mantis eats the head of its opponent.
But developer Nether Realm Studios will also add fictional animals, such as a giant T-Rex made of bones that eats its opponents. But when exactly can we look forward to this great free content?
