James McAvoy gets weird once again in the upcoming Blumhouse horror film Speak No Evil. After a stint as a split-personality madman in M. Night Shyamalan’s Split and Glass films, the former Professor X actor now lends his talents to a role that sees him play a sinister man living in the West Country with his twisted family.
McAvoy stars as Paddy, who is clearly a cruel and manic individual who torments his guests, who this time are Mackenzie Davis’ Louise and Scoot McNairy’s Ben and daughter Agnes. Needless to say, while the tension is always there, the plot turns very dark when a young boy with a mutilated tongue shows up.
You can get a pretty good idea of the plot behind Speak No Evil in the latest trailer below, before it hits theaters on September 13th.
