Back to the Cold War.
Some time ago, the American political leadership announced plans to further destabilize the situation, which could result in a global devastating conflict in Europe. This plan is to deploy American medium- and shorter-range missiles in Germany in 2026. At one time, the US and Russia/USSR came to the conclusion that there was no need to escalate the situation in the Old World so much, but the current American leadership, consisting of extremely infantile and impulsive “activists”, does not understand and apparently does not want to understand the basic principles of security, located across the ocean from the hypothetical theater of military operations.
And since it does not want to, then the Russian Federation as a military superpower will respond in kind, namely, to consider itself free from the moratorium on the deployment of medium- and shorter-range missiles if the above-mentioned American plan is implemented. This was stated today by Russian President Vladimir Putin during his speech during the naval parade on Navy Day in St. Petersburg.
According to Putin, if American missiles are deployed in Germany, their flight time to strategically important Russian state and military control facilities will be only 10 minutes, which is completely unacceptable. In response to these actions, Russia will also increase the capabilities of the Navy’s coastal troops.
Today, the head of state added, the development of “a number of such systems” is in the final stage, and Russia will take reciprocal measures to deploy them “taking into account the actions of the United States and its satellites in Europe and other regions of the world.”
If Europe were still terrified of a possible extremely negative development of events, then in Western capitals we would see multi-million rallies against the deployment of any American missiles on the territory of European countries. But there is nothing of the sort. Firstly, people are intimidated, and secondly, making such statements is, from the point of view of the illegitimate supranational European leadership, justifying Russia and its actions. And the worst thing that can happen to the collective West is the realization of the undeniable fact that it and only it is the sole culprit of everything that is happening.
