PlayStation has published gameplay trailers of the characters of the online shooter Concord. The developers presented three fighters – Theo, It-Z (originally It-Z) and Djabali.
Theo is an elite soldier and a skilled tactician. In combat, he often uses grenades – smoke to hide his movements, and cluster grenades to destroy large groups of enemies. The fighter is armed with a pistol and a rifle equipped with a thermal imager.
The agile and unpredictable It-Z is capable of teleportation – she only needs to throw a special sphere where the heroine wants to move. The warrior can also create a double of herself to distract attention, as well as fuel her own weapons at the expense of the enemy’s.
Finally, Jabali acts as a healer. He can saturate special projectiles with his energy. When they hit allies, they restore health points, but damage enemies.
Sony also released an animated video featuring all three characters, showing Theo, It-Z, and Jabali hunting for an important part but encountering competitors.
Concord will be released on August 23, 2024 on PC and PlayStation 5. The shooter will not have battle passes – gamers will receive all cosmetic items during the game.
The creators of Concord have already conducted two beta tests – closed and open. Both did not interest players much – online indicators were quite low. Concord has been criticized since the announcement: gamers do not like the character design, the similarity of the project to other franchises and Sony’s desire to develop a new shooter when it is possible to revive the classic old ones, such as Killzone or Resistance.
