According to Deadline, Warner Bros. hopes that Steven Caple Jr., who already worked with Jordan on the sports drama Creed II, will direct I Am Legend 2, which will star Michael B. Jordan (Black Panther) alongside Will Smith, the lead actor from the first film.
The publication notes that the project is at a very early stage, and there is no talk of any official agreements yet.
Meanwhile, Akiva Goldsman, the screenwriter of the first and upcoming second parts, who visited the Comic Con festival in San Diego, said that after discussing the first version of the script with Smith and Jordan, he prepared a second version.
