In the wake of the unexpected success of the original game, the authors of the pseudo-historical action game “Rus vs. Lizards” from the Russian studio the Bratans (aka Smola Games) announced sequel – “Rus vs. Lizards 2”.
The Bratans sequel was prompted by numerous requests from fans. The development is being done “with their own money” – the team does not have “grants for 100 million money” (similar to a reference to the financing of “Trouble”).
Production of “Rus vs. Lizards 2” has been going on for six months now. The developers promise that “this time everything is serious”: the graphics, gameplay and optimization will be better compared to the first part.
According to the plot, the lizards, driven by secret patrons, having received new technologies at their disposal, once again treacherously attacked the lands of the Rus. Only glorious heroes can give battle to the invaders and drive them away.
They promise unique characters with their own skills, four-person co-op from the very release, “large-scale skirmishes”, new mechanics (guns, riding dinosaurs) and types of enemies (mathematician lizards, shooters, engineers, and so on).
Other features include “even more pathos and overpowering” (the lizards now overwhelm not only with numbers, but also with intelligence), dialogues with “sparkling humor,” “rocking musical accompaniment,” and the ability to hug a “white birch tree.”
The release of “Rus vs. Lizards 2” is expected in early 2025 exclusively on PC (page in Steam (is already open). The developers are preparing a “cool, hilarious game at an affordable price,” and the sequel itself is positioned as “revolutionary.”
