Until Friday, when Deadpool and Wolverine hit theaters, the famous metal adamantium wasn’t really part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe or even mentioned in any significant way. Instead, everything revolved around vibranium, the same element used to make Captain America’s shield, Ultron’s body, and Black Panther’s claws.
However, that has now changed, as Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine has brought his adamantium skeleton into the MCU, which now seems to indicate that the metal can only be found in one place, in Wolverine’s bones and claws. It turns out that won’t be the case, as there is another very large source of adamantium in the MCU.
Sea Variety It was confirmed during Captain America: Brave New World’s appearance at San Diego Comic-Con that Adamantium was found in Celestial’s corpse currently erupting from the ocean, and that the metal is now the rarest element on the planet. No doubt this information will have a far-reaching impact on the upcoming film and the MCU as a whole.
