The narrative action adventure Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra has found a publisher. Nothing should now stand in the way of its release in 2025.
Just a few months ago, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra was announced by Skydance Games. It is a new narrative action adventure in the Marvel universe, dedicated to the rise of the Hydra organization. Now nothing should stand in the way of its eventual release, as a publisher for the game has now been found in Plaion.
Plaion itself confirmed the deal with Skydance Games in a press release. It also quotes Skydance co-president Julian Beak, who is convinced that “Plaion is the perfect publishing partner for the worldwide multiplatform release of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra.” After all, the publisher also shares the “ambitious vision for the project.”
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra was announced in March 2024 via a cinematic story trailer; gameplay was not yet shown in this video. At least it was communicated at the time that the release was planned for sometime in 2025 – this release window has now been repeated and confirmed, but not yet further specified.
The plot of the narrative game is set during World War II and focuses on Captain America and Azzuri, the Black Panther of the 1940s.
