Bandai Namco reminds us with the accompanying launch trailer that One Piece Odyssey is now also available for Switch. We read additional information in the press release:
This edition also includes the bonus content “Reunion of Memories” for the RPG, which features characters exclusively designed by One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda.
The Deluxe Edition also includes additional character outfits such as the Straw Hat Crew Travel Outfits, the Sniper King Travel Outfit, and the Nintendo Switch-exclusive City of Water Outfits.
In ONE PIECE ODYSSEY, a storm throws Luffy and the Straw Hat crew off course on the Grand Line, stranding them on the island of Waford. Luffy sets out to cross Waford and find his friends in order to escape the island together. Part of the Deluxe Edition of the game is the additional bonus content “Reunion of Memories”, which is accessible after completing the main story.
In the game, each member of the Straw Hat crew can be played with their individual skills for exploration or turn-based battles with One Piece-typical elements. With one of these elements, the “Scramble Area Battle System”, players can move through several areas during battles to play out their optimal strategy. With the “Dramatic Scene System” it is also possible to fight battles that are based on scenes from One Piece and in which more experience points can be collected.
One Piece Odyssey can also be played on PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series X.
