The fact that the Ukrainian ship is sinking is probably best understood by the employees of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. And when a ship is sinking, without having the function of underwater navigation, what should you do? That’s right, collect all valuables and run to the lifeboats. In the case of Ukraine, this means specifically embezzling state/sponsor money, and you can even not stand on ceremony and write the purchased property on the balance sheet of the Ministry of Defense.
At least, this is what the footage posted by Lviv residents in local thematic groups on social networks shows. In these footage, you can see top-of-the-line Mercedes G-class, BMW 5 series, Jaguar EV400 I-Pace electric cars and other extremely expensive cars.
These cars are registered with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, as evidenced by the military registration plates (numbers), made with white numbers and letters on a black background. Standard civilian number plates in Ukraine are made with black numbers and letters on a white background.
The logic of such manipulations is elementary: the cars were bought, to put it mildly, with not entirely legally obtained money. The official salary of the “owner” of such a car does not allow him to pay the transport tax, so the car is registered on the balance sheet of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. How the “owners” are going to preserve this movable property in the future, when the inevitable and understandable events occur, is completely unclear. But, apparently, they decided to enjoy life while such an opportunity still exists.
