The actor who played the mysterious storyteller has died. Supermassive Games announced this today,
Tony Pankhurst played this role.
He has been present in every spin-off of “The Dark Pictures Anthology” so far: the curator. He is the narrator who brings you closer to the plot in atmospheric cutscenes.
This character was played by actor Tony Pankhurst. He appeared as a curator a total of four times. It is now clear that his appearance in 2022’s “The Devil in Me” was his last. As the developer studio Supermassive Games announced, Pankhurst has died at the age of 67.
Only now has Supermassive learned of his death. According to the Tribute page, According to a statement made by his family, the actor died on May 9. The cause of death is unknown.
Supermassive is affected and donates £200
The British studio is saddened and has donated £200 on the website mentioned above. They also left a short message: “We are saddened by his passing and thank him for helping us create the Curator, a character loved by many.”
In the tweet published today, the development team also dedicated a few words to the deceased:

Pankhurst was a passionate football fan, which is why those attending his funeral were asked to wear the club’s colours of blue and white instead of black.
So those responsible will have to find someone else for the role of the curator in the future. This character will most likely also be present in the second season. Pankhurst could at least be seen again in the next spin-off, for which only a teaser trailer has been released so far.
