The Shattered Space add-on for Bethesda Game Studios’ space RPG Starfield hasn’t even received a release date yet, but players seem to have already learned what the next expansion will be called.

How noticed Ever-vigilant X user Timur222 filed a trademark application in the first half of July for ZeniMax Media (owner of Bethesda) directly related to Starfield.
According to records On July 12, ZeniMax Media submitted its application to the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to take over the Starborn trademark. Spoilers may follow.

Let us recall that Starborn, that is, the Starborn, is a group of people who have passed through the Unity (the ethereal sphere in the center of the game world) and, thanks to this, received the ability to travel between universes.
Timur222 and, following him, specialized media outlets suggest that in the case of the new ZeniMax Media trademark called Starborn, there may be a hidden story addition to Starfield dedicated to the Starborn.

As for Shattered Space, the addon will be dedicated to the secrets of the House of Va’ruun – a religious cult that worships the Great Serpent. The release of the expansion is expected before the end of 2024.
Bethesda, represented by executive producer Todd Howard, previously confirmed that it intends to release paid expansions for Starfield annually, so it will definitely not be limited to just Shattered Space.
