Several sources they declare that in the near future there will be a shortage of GDDR6X video memory chips, which, in general, no one except NVIDIA uses. This type of memory is used in all “green” video cards from RTX 4070 to RTX 4090. There were also solutions with GDDR6X among RTX 30.
This shortage could make it difficult for NVIDIA to produce new graphics cards, so we are told that the RTX 4070 may switch to regular GDDR6. Will this hurt its performance? Of course, so we hope that NVIDIA will remember to mark such graphics cards so that users understand what they are buying.
