On May 16, 2015, Melati Putri Rahel Sesilia started her career as a Candidate Trainee in JKT48. After undergoing various training and performances, she was officially promoted to Trainee on October 31, 2015, which was the beginning of her journey in the entertainment world.
Developing in the JKT48 environment, Melati continued to show her abilities and on December 1, 2016 she was promoted to Team T in the JKT48 1 Grand Team Shuffle event.
