With its storytelling style, dramatization craziness, fun gameplay, and tons of mini-games to complete, it’s a bit odd when we see Like a Dragon or previously known as the Yakuza series, not having a stronger presence in other media such as movies for example. Although a live-action film adaptation has emerged in the past, it is too old to be enjoyed in an era when Like a Dragon continues to grow and develop. The good news? Through the cool hands of Prime Video and also the director of Naked Director – Masaharu Take, that dream is closer.
The figure of Kazuma Kiryu, played by Ryoma Takeuchi and Akira Nishikiyama by Kento Kaku, was mentioned by the Executive Producer of the video game version – Masayoshi Yokoyama is not the only star in this series. He said that there is a new female character in this series whose presence the actress will be on a different level, without giving further details. Building hype, Yokoyama also said that the ending of the first episode was so surprising that he jumped out of his chair and took a break to smoke. The story for this series is indeed intended for Kiryu’s story that is not facilitated in the video game version.
