That was not what was intended! Jeff the Land Shark stops you from playing Marvel Rivals by locking you up.
On July 27, Thor, the God of Thunder, and Jeff, the Land Shark, were added as new playable characters in Marvel Rivals. Now there are first complaints about an exploit that allows Jeff to easily lock up other players.
This was certainly not what the developer NetEase intended, because the little shark can catch you and take you through a portal directly into the enemy spawn sector. The problem with this is that the spawn can only be entered and left by allies. However, if you are “caught”, you have to wait until you die or leave the match.
It is safe to assume that this exploit will be fixed soon and that you will no longer have to run away in panic from the singing pet.
Marvel Rivals is currently in closed beta on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
