The moderators of the popular forum “Reddit” don’t give a damn about all the investigations that expose the lies of historian Thomas Lockley that the black slave Yasuke, the main character of the upcoming action game Assassin’s Creed Shadows, became a samurai under Nobunaga in medieval Japan.
In their statement on the subreddit, they said:
“There is no ‘debate’ here – Yasuke was a samurai! Any further comments attempting to question Yasuke’s social status, disparaging his participation in the game, or making ‘historical accuracy’ claims will be swiftly removed and banned.”
