The creators of the series “The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power” showed how the rings were made for the second season of the show. In the finale of the first season, three elven rings were shown, in the second season there will be more rings.
The video focuses most on the dwarf rings, which have a distinctive design. Tolkien, the show’s creators note, barely describes the rings’ appearance, so the design had to be invented from scratch.
Judging by one shot, the rings in Rings of Power are plastic dummies, not real jewelry. But actor Charles Edwards, who plays Celebrimbor, still took a short course in blacksmithing to better handle metal on camera.
The second season of The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power will begin airing on August 29.
